Doug Dehaan Reviews St. Louis SX

4/4/2001

Practice everything went pretty smooth, like the track it was getting a little rutty and stuff but I really like it. I like the soil. Everything was going pretty good, went to the afternoon without any problems and been getting good starts all night. Almost got the holeshot in my afternoon qualifier and then did pull the holeshot in the semiís so that was cool. I kind of bobbled a couple of times in the first lap of the semis but finished fourth. In the main I was feeling pretty good, about six or seven laps into it I lost my front end and (Kyle) Lewis, I think, ran me over. The main event didnít go the way I wanted it to.

Before Pontiac I just want to heal up, my knees are still sore, got a couple of things going on that are bothering me. I think I just got to ride, just put in a lot of laps. If I feel better towards the end of the week, put in some good laps and put in a good main event.
