Doug DeHaan Sets a New Return Date

Recapped By: Carl Hein

Team Blackfoot Motosports Rider Doug DeHaan has moved his anticipated date of return to EA Sports Supercross to March 3rd at New Orleans.  Doug raced in an Arenacross last weekend (which he won the 250’s) and said, “His knee swelled up more than expected”.    Doug explained, “The doctor said a typical tear in the knee ligament takes 8 – 12 weeks to heal fully and currently I’m at 5 weeks.   The doctor realized I would attempt to come back ASAP.  My knee is around 80% and this is why I’m moving my date of return to New Orleans.  I do not want to be resting between each race having my knee heal so I can race the next weekend.   By letting my knee heal I can then continue practicing and improving during the week.”

“I’ve been in Kenmore, Alberta working with my personal trainer, going to the gym and snow shoeing.  The country is beautiful up here.”

See you in New Orleans.
