DeHaan Returns Home and Races Toronto Arenacross & More

Recapped By: Carl Hein

Doug DeHaan, fresh off his 2nd place supercross series finish in Germany returned home to Canada just in time to throw his new 125cc Honda into the back of his van along with his 250cc and head to the Toronto Arenacross. Doug figured this would see how his racing has progressed compared to the weekly Arenacross circuit riders.

Racing both Saturday and Sunday in both classes DeHaan felt that the 125cc class would be a struggle since his bike was bone stock and not set up yet for him. Doug proved to be a profit as he qualified for both 125cc main events but finished 14th and 7th.

The 250cc class saw Doug pull holeshots in both heat races but not in either main event. DeHaan had his Honda in both main events netting a 6th on Saturday and 10th on Sunday.

Doug will be competing in the 2003 Canadian Nationals for Diablo Honda again and you might see him at a few select US Supercross races.
