DeHaan's Future Races and Team Situation

Recapped By: Carl Hein

Doug's future plans are to attend both of the AMA PRO USA Nationals in August 27th at Binghamton, New York and September 3rd at Steel City in Delmont, Pennsylvania.  Doug plans on racing the 250cc class at both events with his Blackfoot Honda machine.  Doug is looking forward to the Montreal Supercross in which he'll continue to race his Blackfoot Honda.  This race is scheduled for September 30th in Olympic Stadium.  Doug has been contact about racing the MX Des Nations for Canada, but that situation isn't finalized and Doug was thinking that the situation might not work out.

Germany has also contacted Doug about racing their Supercross series which is a total of three races which run one a month for November, December and January.  Doug doesn't know if this is what he desires as he already noticed a scheduling conflict with the 2001 opening round of the EA Sports Supercross Series.

At this point Doug is in negotiations with his current race team, Blackfoot Honda, to be aboard in the 2001 race season.  Doug plans on racing the 2001 EA Sports Supercross series and Blackfoot Honda may participant in these events but it's not written in stone at this time.  Doug mentioned he would like to thank Blackfoot for a great year 2000.  "Blackfoot Honda was enthusiastic on Motocross, professional and well organized.  I thoroughly enjoyed riding with Blackfoot in 2000 and look forwards to it in 2001".
